The Canadian Society for Education through Art is the national art education association representing art educators within Canada. It is a voluntary association founded in Quebec City in 1955, and is the only Canadian national organization that brings together visual art educators, gallery educators and others with similar interests and concerns. Membership represents all levels of education: elementary, secondary, college/university, ministries of education, art galleries/museums, and community education.

The end of another school year is just around the corner and as I have written each year, where does the time go!! They seem to fly by faster and faster each and every year! I hope these past winter and spring terms have been rewarding for you and that you have been able to achieve all you set your mind to when you headed back in January after the holidays! Please let me take this moment to share a few updates with you about the latest happenings with your CSEA/SCEA.
Back in early March, I attended the National Art Education Association annual conference in New York City! Always a powerful gathering when it is held in the Big Apple, the conference began with an inspiring Keynote by the infamous artist Keff Koons and closed with the announcement that they broke NAEA conference attendance records with over 9,000 registered delegates coming to NYC for this year’s conference!
