Join us this summer as CSEA/SCÉA partners with the AGO for an intensive, four day National Summer Institute for Educators at the Art Gallery of Ontario focusing on “Exploring the role of the gallery in Art Education practice. The institute will focus on issues that are relevant to art educators across Canada in the fields of elementary, secondary, post-secondary, museum/gallery and community art education. The program will include inspiring guest speakers from the art community (i.e.curators,artists,educators) reflecting on the current opportunities and challenges for the field of contemporary Art Education and their connection to museums and galleries today.

Happy Spring to you all! I hope this latest President’s Message finds you well and that 2016 has been a good year for you so far! I have many updates to share with you about a number of CSEA/SCÉA initiatives as well as acknowledgement of a number of success stories celebrating a few of our members.
New Logo & Website Design– We are very thrilled to announce that we will be launching our new CSEA/SCÉA logo and website in the next few weeks! One of the top suggestions we received at our Members’ Forum last October, in Montreal, was to revamp our identity – our logo and our website – and it’s coming!! Many thanks go out to Paul Syme, our Director of Digital Communications, who since last November, has been working in tandem with a website designer in developing a new, streamlined, and eye-catching logo and website to give our national art education organization a stronger, more visually appealing on-line presence. We hope you like our new image and look forward to hearing your feedback!
