CSEA/SCÉA offers you

Journals

The Canadian Art Teacher

A magazine-style journal of the CSEA/SCÉA, CAT is published once or twice a year. The goal of the journal is to help art educators exchange:

  • fresh, exciting teaching ideas
  • cutting edge classroom-oriented research in art education
  • information and reflections on issues affecting our students and fellow educators
  • reviews of current books, websites and teaching resources

Each issue also includes a downloadable and printable poster featuring the artwork, biography, and ideas of an inspiring Canadian artist.

Submissions are welcome from any art educator interested in sharing their art education research, reflections, images, and classroom practice.

The Canadian Art Teacher is now digital only and freely available at https://csea-scea.ca/canadian-art-teacher.

The Canadian Review of Art Education

The CRAE is a refereed journal, published annually, that reports empirical, historical, and philosophical research with implications for art education and examines issues pertinent to the field. Manuscripts are welcomed which reflect diverse contexts, perspectives and methodologies.

The Canadian Review of Art Education is now an online-only journal, freely available at crae.mcgill.ca. Back issues of older (print) volumes may be purchased (if available) by e-mailing office.csea@gmail.com.
