Intersections 2016 Happened

Intersections 2016, the joint conference of the BCATA and CSEA/SCÉA was rich with art, ideas, and exchange.

Thanks to more than 70 hands-on, hearts-on and minds-on session presenters.

Special thanks to Keynote Speaker Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas http://mny.ca/en/  for inspiration, challenge, and the community mural project.

Thanks also to The Salish Weave Collection http://www.salishweave.com for providing teacher participation grants and the Indigenous Art and Education Panel with Butch Dick, Chris Paul and Angela Marston.

Special thanks as well to Rande Cooke for the exhibit, ‘Accumulation’, http://www.randecook.com and to the many vendors and sponsors who supported this conference. http://www.intersections2016.ca

And, of course, thanks to the 250 conference participants from across BC and across Canada. Your energy and enthusiasm all weekend was a huge natural resource.

Finally, our deepest thanks to the high school students, preservice teachers, and colleagues whose cheerful volunteer efforts set the fabulous tone for two and a half very special days.

With very best wishes from your conference co-chairs,

Regan Rasmussen, BCATA
