| Artist Statement: |
With the four grade six classes at AMY NW, we talked about things that make us angry or upset, and strategies for overcoming such challenges. Students shared these ideas on bubble gum machine bubbles and inside are the Angry Baby keychains through which they channelled their frustrations. Through this work, the students have communicated the sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking issues that matter to them, along with their strategies for getting past them. With their permission, these keychains have been reproduced using a 3d printer so that their ideas can continue to be accessed by the public through the bubble gum machine, and people can continue learning about the world from their perspective. |
