Artist Statement: | This collaborative work represents a new way of thinking, being, and entering research as artists. Using data from the research project: “Reconceptualizing Teachers’ Roles for Canada’s Creative Economy” and Parallaxic Praxis as a methodology, we simultaneously imagine, create and inhabit a virtual space where new understandings are created. In this series of virtual makings we explore and question:
Industrialization and education; Tensions between efficiency and creativity; Path dependency and the redirecting of life trajectories; Playing, tinkering and ephemerality; Permission for creativity and the growing of creative agency in new ways; Celebrations of leaving in ways of thinking about creativity and education; Trace as part of creative journeys; and; The social value of creativity. |
