The CSEA/SCÉA 2018 conference is over – what a weekend!!
The CSEA/SCÉA 2018 conference, Taking ACTion: Human Rights in Art Education, was rich with art, ideas, and exchange.
Thanks to more than 35 hands-on, hearts-on and minds-on session presenters.
Thanks to Keynote Speakers Shawna Dempsey and Dr. Niigaan Sinclair, and to the Gaitskell Speaker Dr. Pam Patterson.
Thanks to the welcome received from our hosts at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Plug-In Institute of Contemporary Art, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Fort Garry Hotel, the Winnipeg Free Press Café and the many artists’ studios in the Exchange District.
Thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of the 62 conference participants from across Canada and beyond.
Finally, our deepest thanks to Dr. Joanna Black, Conference Chair, and her Conference Committee, for the months and months of behind-the-scenes planning which set the fabulous tone for two and a half very special days.
In appreciation,
The CSEA/SCÉA Executive
